By aligning dietary choices with metabolic needs, the program aims to regulate insulin levels, enhance energy metabolism, and promote overall well-being.

Metabolic balance, as expounded by Dr. Wolf Funfack, is a holistic approach to health that emphasizes the interplay between nutrition, hormones, and lifestyle factors. Dr. Funfack, a German physician and nutritionist, developed the Metabolic Balance program to optimize individual metabolic function and promote sustainable weight management.

At its core, metabolic balance focuses on tailoring nutrition plans to an individual’s unique metabolic profile, determined through comprehensive blood tests and health assessments. By aligning dietary choices with metabolic needs, the program aims to regulate insulin levels, enhance energy metabolism, and promote overall well-being.

This approach is paramount for good health because metabolic imbalances can lead to weight gain, fatigue, and increased risk of chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease. By restoring metabolic equilibrium through personalized nutrition and lifestyle adjustments, individuals can achieve long-term health and vitality.

Metabolic Balance® has 8 rules that we ask each metabolic balancer to incorporate into their daily lives.  Here are the rules:

  1. Eat only three meals a day.
  2. Ensure there is a five hour break between meals.
  3. Make sure each meals lasts no longer than 60 minutes.
  4. Begin every meal with one or two bites of the protein portion.
  5. Be sure to have only one kind of protein at each meal.
  6. Do not eat anything after 9:00 pm.
  7. Drink lots of water.
  8. Eat your fruit portion (including an apple every day) at the end of your meals.
