As a lifelong multisport enthusiast, Karl Braun has competed and coached in a variety of sports including soccer, hockey, baseball, volleyball, track & field, and football. He played strong safety for the Simon Fraser University (SFU) Clansmen football team where he was a 4 year letterman and senior co-captain before he turned pro with the Calgary Stampeders.
As a student athlete at SFU, Karl developed his knowledge of physiology, fitness optimization, nutrition, and sports injuries while studying Kinesiology and business. He learned practical foundational lessons about strength and powerlifting under former Olympian weightlifter Wayne Wilson (SFU Strength Coach). And as a member of the Richmond Kajaks Track & Field Club, Karl worked at improving his speed while training and competing in sprints (100m, and 200m).
Karl has since completed marathons, played recreational hockey, slo-pitch, touch football, and participated in corporate challenges. He has coached kids, teens and young adults in rep and academy soccer, high school football, college hockey, and university football. His passion is now training individuals, teams, classes, and groups in strength, mobility, stability, and overall fitness.
Karl loves helping people of all ages reach their fitness potential, whether the goal is to be the best in their sport or optimize health and fitness at any age.
